WIDE BODY

Q: How do I install Wide Body on my Pebble?
A: You can use a spring-bar tool like this one or you can just use a knife blade like Neil:

Q: Is the LEATHER version water proof?
A: Our leather straps are NOT water-proof! A little sweat is okay, but you shouldn’t run a marathon with it. And a few drops of water while washing your hands is okay too, but don’t stick your wrist under the faucet! If your straps absorb sweat or water, remove your Pebble from your wrist when it’s convenient and allow the straps to dry out completely before wearing it again.

Q: How do I clean dirt/grime from my LEATHER straps?
A: Wring out a soapy piece of cloth and lightly wipe the dirt/grime from your straps. Rinse the cloth until it is free of soap, wring it out again, and lightly wipe any soap from your straps. Allow the straps to dry out completely before wearing them again.

Q: How do I clean dirt/grime from my SILICONE straps?
A: Our silicone straps are finished with a soft-touch coating, and this layer can wear off over time. To preserve the soft-touch coating as long as possible, clean dirty straps gently with soap and water between your fingers.

Q: How should I maintain the LEATHER straps?
A: Keep leather straps free of dust or dirt by wiping them lightly with one of your socks once each week. Why a sock? It’s usually handier than finding a cloth rag, and you probably will not mind getting small bits of dust or dirt on your sock.

SHANK

Q: Does SHANK really come with its own screwdriver?
A: Yes. It’s tiny. It’s awesome. It says “RICHARD TRACY” on it.

Q: How do I install my new SHANK straps?
A: It's easy. We made a video to help, too...

TORSO

Q: What are the operating instructions?
A: SHORT VERSION: “Bend it. THEN connect it!”

Q: What are the operating instructions?
A: LONG VERSION: “Bend it. THEN connect it!” is the easy way to tell you how to get the most fun out of your Torso—without damaging  your Torso or your phone’s connector. So, bend Torso into a tripod shape, and THEN perch your phone on top of it. Or bend Torso into a handy wall charger dock, and THEN mate your phone with it. Flatten out Torso into its default flat mode, and THEN sync your phone with your laptop.

Q: What’s the best way to make a tripod?
A: Bend Torso’s middle leg BACK, and then bend Torso’s outside legs out and down. Do it like this photo! The “out and down” bend for Torso’s legs creates the most stable tripod because the tips of the legs are normal to the table / floor / grand canyon / bar.

Q: How do I bend into wall charger mode?
A: Bend Torso’s middle leg back into a “sharp” angle. Plug torso into your AC adapter. Plug your AC adapter into the wall outlet. Plug your phone onto Torso. If your phone is standing up straight, then you should be good to go. For the most stable position, the top of your phone should rest against the wall. Note: you don't have to bend the outside legs up as shown! You can leave them dangling down. We just show them bent up like this because it looks cool.

Q: Can I twist Torso a bit so that I can sync my phone in an upright position with my laptop, and see the phone’s screen at the same time?
A: Yes. Just remember: Bend it. THEN connect it! We actually prefer to lay the phone down flat to let it rest while syncing, but to each their own.

Q: Can I use it in my car?
A: We do not recommend this. Your phone is heavy, and most car charger adapters will rotate within your car’s power outlet (old school: cigarette lighter). This rotation tends to flop your phone to one side or the other, and it can be distracting to the driver. We have seen customers stabilize their phones by jamming Torso’s legs into the dashboard vents, and it looks like it works okay. We do not recommend this.

Q: Why is it called Torso?
A: Because your phone is the head. Your smartphone is the brains of this operation. Legs. Arms. Torso. Right. We were calling the middle leg the “third leg” for a while, but that got too weird.
